God, Are you there? Answer my call
My heart lies bare and my feelings stall

Come down and meet me, There’s so much to talk
Look down and you will see, Covered in blood, I walk

Bodies everywhere…….with their breathing stopped
What good did it do? Why were they slaughtered and robbed?

“Killed in the name of religion”, they say
And yes………… murderers roam free today……………..

God, Are you there? Answer my call
My heart lies bare and my feelings stall

Come down and meet me, There’s so much to ask
Clear my doubts….shed your mask

Do you, God, belong to any religion? Do you have any caste?
Do you practice different rituals? Do you also have to fast?

Does it matter to you, that we eat goats but now cows?
That we feed on chickens… but pigs we renounce?

God, Are you there? Answer my call
My heart lies bare and my feelings stall

Come down and meet me, save me from here
I am your child after all, I am your heir

When I come to you God, will you ask me how I came?
Was I buried or fed…………. or was I burnt in flames?

Will I be asked how good I have been?
Or will you want to know….how many enemies I have fleeced?

Yes…I thought he was untouchable, but help…I did give
Will you question me about all this, when I come to you?

God, Are you there? Answer my call
My heart lies bare and my feelings stall

Come down and meet me, tell me you exist
Whom else do I ask? Not sure is the priest

If you are there…..make the killings stop
Punish those who murdered…punish those who robbed

And If you are not there…..make the world aware
At least someone will stop killing…. On how to offer you prayer
