Hopes…

Hope is the hat rack I hang my dreams upon
Its the force in me which urges me to move on

If you believe in God as you say you do
You should believe in yourself to get you through

‘cos your God is not in that statue you bow to
Your God resides in you and tells you what to do

Your God is in that mother, who gave you birth
Your God is within yourself its just not proved

Listen to God once he’ll tell you to try
He will carry you through, till you die

He’ll show you that star you think you cannot reach
But If you have faith in him, you will do what he’ll preach

He says,”Theres nothing in this world you can’t do
Just have hopes my dear, it will take you through”

Mads’s creation

When it seems the whole world is leaving in a flock
I will stand besides you as steady as a rock
I’ll hold your hand in a firm lock
Whatever the situation, I will take stock
You don’t have to say sorry for the things which you say
Its not about you or me, its us is all I would say
I’ll never leave you ‘cos my life would be bland
Even after I am gone, I will hold your hand

Whenever you cry, I’ll wipe your tears
I’ll be holding you, as you face your fears
Be it life or death, rain or shine

My mothers’ loan

One day my mother said to me
“Always give back what you take
And then true happiness you will see
When lives happier you will make”

Now my mother has never been wrong
I believe in every word she says
So I decided it wont be long
Till to everyone, around me, I’ll repay

I decided I’ll start with my mother
And thats the biggest mistake I made
For I know its very hard to repay her
And with this my hopes began to fade

How can I ever repay
The love that resides in those eyes
The words of hers which made many a days
Those values which made me nice

That boundless love of her caring hand
Which she lovingly places on my head
Its no less than a magic wand
She makes sure all my troubles are dead

She cared for me before I was born
She’s been with me always
She cleared my paths of all the thorns
A new life she gave me and her heart to stay

She brought me to Earth
She made me alive
She gave me relations
Shared happiness and with me she cried

She gave me the most wonderful moments
So that I could be happy when I am alone
Its just uncountable, the list of her lents
& I am in no position to repay this loan

Love is not just take and give
Its more about sharing. This – you should know”

I may have given you a new life
I may have given you relations
But you gave me a better life
My reason to live was your creation

I can never thank you for what you gave
Can never thank you for all that laughter
You changed my life, my world for me
You transformed me from a woman to a mother

You gave me the most divine position in the universe
You made me feel the greatest person on this Earth
You changed my very identity..You are my creator
While I gave birth to a daughter..You gave birth to a mother”

Friends for life

There are those few people in life
With whom you can share your secrets ugly and bright

People who,you know, will be there
When others are too busy to care
These people I am proud to say are my friends
Being with whom my joy knows no ends
People who brought me in touch with my emotional needs
Through their caring words and deeds

They are the driving force that has succeeded
In keeping me going, when I had almost conceeded
They are the people with whom I can relate
And who are like the light that lies opposite the shadow it creates
Friends, who might, one day depart
But they will always reside in my heart
Friends whose memories will remain fresh and bright
To guide me through the path which is right
So be it rain or shine, happiness or strife
I’ll remember you all, my friends for life

Never say Die

Life can be cruel, but it never will be still
A mountain can be surmounted only by one’s will

A will that proves your mettle
To see through,once the hard times settle

Hard times are a hurdle in your goal
But they leave an indelible impression on your soul

An impression that refines your grit
To face life with an undying spirit

It was autumn and the weather was clear
I turned around and found you near
I sensed you were close all year
Even when the weather changed its color

While I was drowning myself in the rain
You were there to feel my pain
As far as I can remember
You have been with me forever

In crowd you were standing next to me
You gave me company in my loneliness
You held my hand, while I cried
You were there to share my happiness

When the sun was harsh, the wind was strong
You were with me all day long
I know I can ask anyone you see
The darkest cloud will vouch you were with me

If I recollect all the ways in which you helped me,
This poems’ never going to end
On and ending note, I’ll just say
“Hats off to you”, my friend

Life.. and death

Through the lonely walks of life
Where only failures kept me company
I trudged along sad,weary and burdened with grief
Would not have realised if I had died

My whole life made no sense
Until you came, touched me and made me grow
Never gave me a change to complain
You were so perfect
Did not realise what went wrong
You made me trust you, and thats the only thing I complain about
‘cos thats when my world shattered
And I realised, I had died long ago

Just like that..

Things dont always happen as you want them to,
But life is like that…you have to see what you can do

It may seem you are in a worse situation..but still worse could be the tide
Isnt it always that the grass looks greener on the other side?

You cannot stop moving for the fear you will fall
Keep going and you’ll win, you’ll see, you shall

You ne’er learnt to walk right at the first try
So why are you expecting things to change now, tell me why

After all,hope is the hat rack I hand my dreams upon..
