When Mads met Resh….
It was on this day 42 months ago,
When Resh and Mads were walking up a familiar slope,
Holding hands, blissfully unaware of what would happen next,
Resh told Mads the magic words that left him perplexed.
Words which he had always wanted to say,
But held back ‘coz of the fear she’d go away.
Words which she had always wanted to say,
But held back ‘coz of the fear she won’t be allowed to stay.
As they walked down the road, that had become akin to an altar,
Feelings that had been held back for more than a year began to stir.
This had been the moment they had been waiting for,
Yet none of them could believe this was happening for sure.
As they walked up the entrance to their alma mater,
They both wanted to turn back and lay their feelings bare.
In each other’s eyes they wanted to stare,
And tell each other, “I’m urs 4evr, I swear”.
As they sat in the library, hand in hand, trying to focus on their work,
All they could do is look at each other and smirk.
Their minds buzzing with a million thoughts,
All they wanted to do was walk down the promenade and be among the rocks.
4 hours into their fledgling journey,
Mads finally said, I love u honey.
That timeless moment had finally arrived,
When to bring them together, circumstances had contrived.
It was the beginning of an eternal relationship,
That has weathered rough seas like a sturdy ship.
In their minds, memories of that day are still fresh,
That day when Mads met Resh….
